Changes
It is amazing how quickly these little guys can change. It doesn't feel like he's been her heading towards ten months. Two weeks ago his little rear kept moving like a snail and now he takes off running (crawling run). He's a different creature. He tries to climb over everything, is able to pull himself up and hold onto furniture. I had him taking a nap on Monday in in portacrib and started making noise. I turned to look and he was standing holding onto the rail. You could have floored me. Totally unexpected.
I'm finding I am more exhausted than before. He's becoming less interested in his baby bottle. He'll drink maybe four ounces and then is bored with it. He's learned to say no without speaking. He just shoves things out of the way or throws them across the room.
When its nap time, its a big NO! He howls and shoves me away. I've started singing twinkle twinkle little star and that will settle him down enough to fall asleep.
Once he learned to crawl things have changed. He's able to pull himself up into a sitting positing and isn't "wobbly" anymore. Its fun, but exhausting.
I look back. My mom and dad had divorced when I was a baby and moved home to her parents. I wonder how my grandmother handled it. Actually all of this makes me think of my grandma alot.
Blade's first Halloween yesterday. With Holli and Stephen separated I didn't get to see him, but Stephen did get a picture.
