He's All Boy

Its been an exhausting week.  Monday I made a trip to Lowes.  They had a cart with several clearance flowers and I bought several.  I spent all day digging holes and planting flowers.  They are still alive which thrills me.  Several of the lilies I planted are returning this year.  Anyway, my grandson was here Monday and found great interest in the holes I dug and even more interest when I watered the plantings.  He headed straight for the mud.  He was covered head to toe.  I had to give him a bath before his mom showed up.

Speaking of all boy did anyone catch this great picture from conference?

Boyness doesn't go away with age.  Isn't it great!

Treasure Chest

There's this great little store in Allen where you can buy everything in the store for 25 cents.  Its loaded with clothes and trinkets of all kind.  My good friend, Karen, and I went this morning.  We left the house at 7:30 and when we got there a line had already developed.  It was an interesting experience.  http://www.allenonline.com/a/treasure-chest

When the doors opened, people ran in with bags and were just stuffing things in them.  It's a little claustrophobic.  Things are put together in very narrow aisles.  You have to really look to find things.  I found six shirts, two of   them were from Chicos.  My total purchase was $1.50.  I left feeling pretty amazing. It was good to get up and out of the house.

I've worked in the yard today and pulled weeds.  General Conference is on today.  New temples announced today for Rio de Janeiro and for Cedar City - this will bring the total number of temples to 170 in operation, being built, or going to be built.  Amazing.  Oh yes, a woman gave the closing prayer in conference today which will probably satisfy a few women who'd been complaining.

They announced the number of missionaries serving now is over 60,000.
